October 2020 - Burningtree
The BEGA October Tournament was our anual Pumpkinball Tournament held at Burningtree Country Club in Decatur. The League Playoff to determine the BEGA 2020 Champion was also held during the event. This has always been a great way to end our Tournament season.
The Great Pumpkin was watching Saturday as only Six of the Twenty Two teams came out of the Pumpkin Patch with their Pumpkinballs. Congratulations to Linda Brooks, Rusty Lundy, Joe Jackson and Nik Zirkun for winning the Pumpkin Ball. Especially, keeping the "frost" off their ball or should I say water, or not hitting it under leaves, or just not finding it in the fairway or as one team did, losing it on the first swing. What a great turn out and great day to golf. Crisp, cool, morning (nippy at times) but lots of sunshine later. Hope everyone enjoyed the tournament - our largest this year.
The league champions Pat Gehringer(Tuesday Seniors), Larry Bryan (Tuesday Redstone), and Craig Gonsewski (Saturday) competed for the League Championship. Greg Jones (Monday) was not available to play. Larry Bryan had the low net score and is our 2020 BEGA League Champion. Congratulations to Larry.
